For all first time registrants and those preparing for a Texas certification exam.
For Designated Doctors who want to review TDI/DWC Designated Doctor and treating physician fundamentals and for all supervised health care providers who support Designated Doctors

For those experienced as Designated Doctors and treating physicians who want to study the process in greater depth by working case studies to improve injured worker outcomes.
The syllabi for both courses will be provided to all registrants.
Both courses will have Saturday afternoon assessments to measure the competence of Texas doctors working within the system. Completing one of these assessments is required to successfully complete the course.

Objectives: Following the Designated Doctor and Physician Training Course, the physician learner should:
*Obtain written information concerning the role and responsibility of a designated doctor, RME doctor, and treating doctor in the impairment rating process as it pertains to Texas law and the use of the AMA Guides.
*Receive clinical examples of determining MMI and an impairment rating for many body systems, as defined in the AMA Guides.
*Receive clinical examples and instruction in the use of ODG and MDA and in methods for determining causality.
*Meet the requirements for the didactic training component to complete the designated doctor application.
*Meet the course requirement needed to take the Division-approved written examination.
Accreditation
The American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
TEXAS CEDIR EXAM
Given at the end of the course.
AADEP is one of three approved providers for the certification exam required under TDI/DWC rules. By registering for the CEDIR (Certification in the Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating), you can join more than 600 medical colleagues nationwide holding a nationally recognized AADEP CEDIR. The CEDIR exam will be administered on-site from 3:30-5:30 p.m. (as the coursework allows) on Saturday.

There is a $100 service fee for all cancellations received before September 9, 2010.
No refunds for cancellations received after September 9, 2010 or for NO SHOWS.
