welcomeAADEP is the premiere society serving physicians involved in disability management. Our activities include ongoing teaching of the management of disabled patients as well as impairment and disability evaluation to physicians, other health care providers, attorneys, regulators, legislators and others involved in the care of the disabled. AADEP also coordinates research in the area of disability management. Our multi-disciplinary and comprehensive approach makes us unique in this arena.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed four members to the Texas Medical Board District Two Review Committee. Commitee members evaluate medical practice and professional competency, and make recommendations on investigations conducted by the board.

Appointee Melissa Tonn of Dallas, Fellow and Board Chair of AADEP, is a board certified occupational medicine physician as well as president and chief medical officer of OccMD Group. She is a member of the American and Texas Medical Associations and Dallas County Medical Society. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, a member of the Texas Woman's University Board of Regents, an advisory board member of Christ's Clinic at Preston Road Church of Christ and past president of the Texas College of Occupational Environmental Medicine. Tonn received bachelor's degrees from Rice University, a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, a master's degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. She is being reappointed for a term to expire January 15, 2018.
